Last updated: October 2026. This notice explains how Userblly LLC, the operator of Userblly, collects, uses, retains and protects your personal data.
Who is responsible for your data
Userblly is operated by Userblly LLC. Userblly LLC is the data controller for the personal data described in this notice, which means it decides how and why your data is processed. You can reach the controller at the contact addresses on this page.
What we collect
When you send a funding brief, we collect your name, email, phone number, organization, country, organization type, consulting need, budget range and the funding goal you describe. If you create an account, we also store your login credentials, funding profile, workspace content (matches, pipeline, drafts, uploaded document contents you accept), conversations with the AI advisor, and usage and device data such as IP address and browser type for security and product improvement.
How we use it and why (legal basis)
We use your details to provide the service you signed up for, respond to inquiries, assess funding fit and operate your workspace (performance of a contract); to keep the service secure, prevent fraud and improve the product (legitimate interests); to send optional marketing only where you have opted in (consent, which you can withdraw anytime); and to meet tax, accounting and legal obligations (legal obligation). We do not sell your details, and we do not use them for unrelated marketing.
Who sees your details
Our team reviews every brief under account-level permissions. We share data with service providers that host and operate the platform (cloud hosting, database and email delivery), and with Paddle, our Merchant of Record, which processes purchases, subscriptions, tax and invoicing when you buy a plan or credit pack. We share your details with funders or partners only when you ask us to pursue a specific opportunity and the connection requires it, with professional advisers where needed, and with authorities where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Account and workspace data is kept while your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 90 days, except records we must keep for legal, tax or accounting reasons (kept for up to 7 years) and security logs (kept for up to 12 months). Inquiry details from non-account holders are kept for up to 24 months, then deleted or anonymised.
How we protect it
Your details are stored in our application database with encryption in transit and at rest. Access is limited to the Userblly team through account-level permissions, so only the people working on your funding request can see it.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to show, correct or delete the details you have sent at any time, and you can object to or restrict certain processing or withdraw consent for optional emails. Use the request form below and we will act on it, normally within one month. Depending on your location, you may also have the right to data portability and to complain to your data protection authority.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and storage to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings, though sign-in will not work without the essential ones.
